ルフは少年時代から一貫して宇宙への関心を抱き続けています。2008年に発表された「cassini」はNASA（アメリカ航空宇宙局）などが1997年に打ち上げた宇宙探査船cassiniが撮影した土星とその衛星の画像を素材にした作品。ときに抽象的、幾何学的なデザインのようにも見える天体のイメージは、インターネット上で公開されている画像の色彩やトーンを操作することで生み出されたものです。

Ruff has maintained a keen interest in outer space since his childhood. His 2008 series cassini makes use of pictures of Saturn and its satellites that were taken by the Cassini space probe, launched by NASA in 1997. These images of celestial bodies, with alternatively abstract and geometrical designs, were created by manipulating the colors and tones of pictures from the Internet.
